Holy cow i'm never having nine kids

Today we had a visit from our old neighbours. This may sound like a simple little event, but i knew what Owen and i (and Bailey!) were in for. You see, our old neighbours have seven children plus three cousins who travel with them a lot of the time since they're like brothers and sisters. They are the sweetest, most wonderful kids we have ever met and we always look forward to seeing them again.
The whole afternoon was a blur and i don't think i had an uninterrupted conversation with anyone because there was always a question to be asked or a mitten to be found or something else very interesting going on.
Bailey had the time of her life running non-stop for an hour in the snow. I practically had to dangle a treat under her nose tonight to intice her to come for dinner and that is absolutely un-heard-of!!
Owen warmed up to all the kids very quickly. He had several rides down the slide and on the swings in the backyard and went for many sleigh rides, too. He even gave every one of the kids and their moms a kiss before they left.
All i know is that i am going to be eating a lot of Rice Krispie squares this weekend because i didn't have a chance to even remember that i made them for the kids!
Here's a picture of some of the kids and Owen before they left. Owen wasn't happy at this precise moment, though!
