My little starfish!
Well, it's official - Owen likes to swim! He didn't quite know if he should cry or not when we first got in, but after the initial shock he loved it. They brought us into the big pool to start and then we ended in the smaller, kiddie pool. We learned how to kick while on our tummy and on our backs and we even went completely under! There was a whole gallery of people watching with their cameras so we managed to get some good pictures to share (thanks grandma and auntie Andrea!) Enjoy the photos!

The big move
Well, we've finally moved in and we're so happy with our decision to make this (our final!) move. We had a lot of help from family over the weekend and the decision was already made that Scott and i are to host Christmas this year. We're finally able to host more than five people at one time! We're slowly unpacking but the days just don't seem long enough in order to get anything substantial done.
Tonight i'm taking Owen to his first swimming class in Whitby with his friend Andrew and his mommy. I'm expecting him to love it because he likes baths so much, but who knows? Pictures of this momentous occassion will come shortly (once we find the camera)!

Our first night without Owen
Last night Scott and i left Owen to spend the night with his loving grandparents and aunt as we celebrated a friend's wedding. We had a great time and i loved getting all dolled up for the occassion! We thought of Owen often but restrained from calling to see how he was. Apparently he did very well and slept like normal even though he spent the night in the laundry/mud room (a.k.a. 'the nursery'). We rushed over to pick him up this morning and he was already having his morning nap. When he got up we gave him a bath in grandma's kitchen sink and he loved it! He splashed with his hands and feet - it was the funniest thing! Here are some photos from the weekend - enjoy!

A great day....
Owen was in such a great mood today. He laughed lots, played lots and had lots of naps with lots of cuddles beforehand. I managed to take some photos because he now almost poses when the camera comes out. We also went to check out a daycare because apparently now is the time to put him on a waiting list. It felt so weird touring a daycare already. I can't even imagine him when he's able to walk around and play with other kids. I guess a few months ago i couldn't imagine him sitting up almost by himself and he's already doing that. Time flies.

Hot, hot, hot
We experienced our first week of hot weather with Owen. Our new house has A/C, so it can't come soon enough. Owen was irritable and constantly whining for a few days and we blamed the heat. Some of his irritability came from not pooping for almost four days, but finally he felt the urge and he feels better. The last photo is of him during this lovely process! Too funny!
