7 months old today
With every month that Owen grows older i wish i could freeze time and this month is no different. I absolutely love the stage he's at right now. He's fun, he's showing affection, he's recognizing family members, he's sitting up on his own, he's loving solid foods so far, he's dancing, and more! His little personality is coming out more every day and all of these things make him such a lovable little boy.
Last night was our second last swimming class and i took my sister with me because Scott was working. She had a bad case of the sniffles in the car on the way there and she ended up blowing her nose numerous times. The look on Owen's face was priceless. He was horrified, scared and in awe all at the same time. I almost drove off the road because we were laughing so hard. I guess he's never seen someone blow their nose so much and so hard...? Anyway, he loved swimming last night and next week we're confident he'll pass, although i'm sure they don't fail babies. Here's Owen today as i write this....
Happy seven month birthday babe!

Weekend at the cottage!
We took the whole family up to the cottage this weekend for the first time. The purpose of the visit was for the men to build a shed and they succeeded with this without any injuries! Owen didn't keep to his usual schedule but managed to stay in a good mood anyway, so it wasn't so bad.

Some help around the house
Yesterday Grandpa and Auntie Andrea came over to help get a few things done around the house. Auntie Andrea learned how to use a drill properly and hung some pictures and hooks for us and Grandpa cut down some trees, made the swings on the swing set safer and fixed my beloved clothesline. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Our yard sale find
Yesterday we bought a great highchair at a yard sale for Owen for really cheap. This morning we fed him his rice cereal in it and he loved it, so it's a keeper!
Owen and i were a bit under the weather on Thursday but it seemed to be a 24 hour thing as we're both 100% now, thank goodness. At night when he's stuffed up i find it so hard to sleep because i can't stop concentrating on his breathing.
He has completely settled in at our new home. He sleeps right through the night and even naps longer than usual.
