Bubbles

A couple weeks ago Scott showed Owen how to blow bubbles in the water. Owen laughed so hard at one point that he blew a bubble of his own. This made us laugh even more!

A weekend at the cottage

We spent our first weekend at the cottage and it was absolutely wonderful. After a very busy couple of weeks it was great to just relax in the sun and watch Owen play all day. Here are some photos from the weekend, thanks to Grannie since I forgot the camera!

Our weekend

Our weekend was full of laughing and playing in the sun. Owen loves to play in the water from the garden hose so we bought him a water park thing that he can stand at. He absolutely loved playing with it today so i predict we'll have hours and hours of playtime with it at the cottage this summer.
Owen and Bailey are getting along better than ever. Bailey more than just tolerates Owen and even lets Owen play fetch with her.
Here are some pictures. Enjoy!

Sishies! Sishies!

Apparently Owen really wanted a new aquarium for his room (or so his daddy says, anyway!). Since one of his new words is "sishy", which means fishy, we thought it would be a fun thing for him to have. Here he is taking it all in:

Life, lately.

We had a very busy week this week and this weekend won't be any different. Every night we seemed to have something on the go. Owen had an excellent week at daycare. He hardly even cried when we dropped him off in the mornings and was eager to show us what he was playing with when we picked him up. The daycare providers just love him and they've even started giving him nicknames. O or Mr. Barker are the ones he responds to right now so it's funny to hear them call him that and to see him actually respond! The daycare provider today said that he was very upset when the kids' daily routine was interupted today because of the rain. Apparently Owen got up from his seat after snack time and plopped himself down on the rug and waited patiently to have his sunscreen applied, only to discover that they weren't going outside because of the rain. Even in the mornings when we get him and his stuff loaded into the car, we need to bring his hockey stick or broom or ice scraper (i know, we seriously need to get him some outdoor toys!) in the car with him or else he won't get in the car. He's going to be an outdoorsey boy that's for sure!

Outside, please!

This is one of my favourite pictures of Owen so far in his short life...! It just shows how much he loves life and enjoys every moment! He is absolutely loving playing outside these days. He constantly points and whines to go outside to play. If you drive by our house you will most likely find him wandering up and down the driveway with his hockey stick or playing in the garden with the toads. We can't wait to see him explore at the cottage this year. Last year he was too little to really get into anything.

Red head?

Owen's hair suddenly looked really red today! Here he is eating his soft foods for dinner since he is obviously teething because he screamed every time he chewed on something firm.
