Banned from the Swiss Chalet

Well, not really, but if it was up to a certain middle-aged couple we would be. During our dinner tonight Owen suddenly grabbed the salsa dish and hurled it to the floor. We all looked up to see that the man and woman sitting behind us were covered (yes, completely covered) in salsa. The man had at least two huge globs just on his face. It was hilarious. The woman was wearing white and quickly hurried to the washroom to survey the damage. I really did feel terrible, but i couldn't even turn to say sorry because i was laughing so hard. We ended up paying for a bit of their dinner without them knowing, so i hope they forgave us somewhat. I'm sure this was one of many more instances where Owen will embarrass the heck out of us! Sorry, no pictures of tonight's incident.

New toys!

On Friday Owen spent some time with his grandparents while Scott and i played a game of golf with some friends. Owen scored big time when our friends brought along some toys and clothes for him since their three boys weren't using them anymore. It was great timing, too, because I realized the other day that he's becoming bored with his same old toys. He spent the entire weekend playing with this new cube thing below. I hope it lasts because i don't have many plans for us this week!

Time is flying

Owen has so many faces he likes to do lately. His favourite is when he scrunches up his nose and breathes in and out really loudly. He knows he's funny because of the reaction he gets every time and that's why he keeps doing it. It's amazing to see that he understands things and behaves a certain way because he understands!

Wow, he was around three months old here. What a different boy he is!

Owen and i stayed home for the most part today. We did meet Grandma for lunch, so that was a treat for us. He's been cranky the last couple of days because he's really constipated. I fed him prunes this morning so hopefully that helps soon. adsfffffffffffm,kjmnn jnkm,. m . Sorry, Owen felt the need to write something. Now he's mad because i stopped him. See ya.

An addition to the family!

Yesterday our family celebrated as Owen's second cousin, Jonathan, married his girlfriend Lorraine. It was a wonderful day - the weather couldn't have been better and we were all so happy to see Lorraine and Jonathan start their lives together. Owen managed to share the attention for one minute as Lorraine posed for a picture with him. Special thanks go to Owen's Nan and Grandpa Barker for taking care of him as his parents enjoyed the night at the wedding! Enjoy just a small sample of the many photos we took!

This and that...

Life lately has been busy to say the least. I feel horrible because my picture taking of Owen has dramatically decreased. Most of the pictures below were taken by others. I did find a few minutes to put in our order for the photos we had taken at the house about a month ago. We can't wait to see how they turn out and to put them around the house to display! Although, by the time i actually get them in frames Owen will probably be almost a year old!
